As everyone knows SecurID is another layer of security on an AOL account.
It consists of 6 numbers/digits that are located on a digital keycard
that have to be entered everytime you sign onto AOL.
The SecurID number is verified using a ACE server separate from the AOL
login
one. Occasionally this server goes down and it will allow you to sign
onto an AOL account with a SecurID bound. The best way to check if the
server is down is to monitor AOL's System Status reports.
