AOHell paved the way for all progs which came after it. In fact just
about every prog which came after was modeled after features AOHell had
which included Bots, mass mailers, mail bombers, a credit card generator
and macros.
This was the only prog that was actually feared by AOL. Throughout 1995,
AOL's TOS and Security departments were struggling to find ways to deal
with the hundreds of kids using this prog to terrorize members. AOHell
forced the TOS department to completely revamp the reporting system and
the types of things that would lead to accounts getting terminated.
For awhile AOL was attempting to track down the Da Chronic and prosecute
him but it never happened. Within a few months of its release dozens of
copycat progs popped up and progs have been apart of the Underground scene
since then.
